About Countr

Countr is a local-shopping savings club for Mysuru, operated by Pride Tech Solutions, a partnership firm registered in Mysuru (MYS-F145-2022-23).

The idea is narrow on purpose. Members hold CountR Coins and spend them as a discount at participating shops. The shop funds the discount; Countr earns from membership. Nothing is bought through Countr and no payment passes through us — the money goes from the member to the shop, directly, as it always did.

We are open across Mysuru and onboarding shops now. We are not going to tell you how many shops we have until that number is worth telling you, and we are not going to show you testimonials we wrote ourselves.

Why this category usually fails

Discount platforms in India have a graveyard: Groupon India, Nearbuy, Little, Payback India. Each died the same way — discounts deeper than merchant margin, which attracts people who only ever appear when there is an offer on, and drives the good shops out. In 2019 thousands of restaurants walked away from Zomato Gold over exactly this.

Our answer is not better marketing. Rates sit below each category's margin, every shop has a monthly cap in rupees that the software enforces, and members hold a finite number of coins that expire. That makes the total exposure bounded and knowable for everybody.
